Welford Parish Council Election 2021

The Parish Council can have up to 10 Councillors to form the Parish Council. For the election this year, as only 7 people have been nominated to stand for Welford Parish Council, they have been duly elected as Parish Councillors and therefore there will not be an election for the Parish Council. Welford, Sibbertoft and Sulby Endowed School Road Safety Drawing Competition

The Parish Council asked children at the school to draw road safety posters during the autumn term. The theme was 'about road safety and the need for drivers to be careful especially around the school.'

Welford is now in a Conservation Area

Welford has now been designated as a Conservation area by Daventry District Council. This puts in place tighter planning controls for anyone seeking permission to alter or demolish a building, or carry out work to trees, in order to maintain the special interest of the area.

Children's Play Area

Welford Parish Council (WPC) as the managers of the park ask all users to consider the following when using the play area:

Dog fouling

If you walk your dog, always carry the means to clear up after your pet - a simple plastic bag will do the trick or buy poop scoops from a local pet shop

This even applies if you are walking your dog on a public footpath, bridleway and even in fields as livestock can be harmed
