Summer Reading Challenge

Every year Northamptonshire Libraries deliver the Summer Reading Challenge, which challenges children to read 6 books during the summer holidays. It has been proven that children who don't continue reading during the summer have a lower reading age when they return to school in September than that before the summer. Children's Play Park

In accordance with Government advice, the Parish Council has agreed to open the children's play area in the park this Saturday 4th July.

Defibrillators

The defifbrillator that was outside the village hall has been moved to the phone box in West Street near to Westfield Crescent. The phone box is now the property of the Parish Council as BT made it redundant late last year.

Dog fouling

If you walk your dog, always carry the means to clear up after your pet - a simple plastic bag will do the trick or buy poop scoops from a local pet shop

This even applies if you are walking your dog on a public footpath, bridleway and even in fields as livestock can be harmed
