Funds available to help fly-tipping victims

Private landowners who are the victims of fly-tipping can apply for grants of up to £1,500 to help cover the cost of removing it.

Local authorities do not remove fly-tipped waste on private land as it is the responsibility of the landowner to clear.

If you walk your dog, always carry the means to clear up after your pet - a simple plastic bag will do the trick or buy poop scoops from a local pet shop

This even applies if you are walking your dog on a public footpath, bridleway and even in fields as livestock can be harmed
