Husbands Bosworth bagging site

With regards to the Husbands Bosworth quarry, the Parish Council has learnt that there is an application with Leicestershire County Council for the purpose of:

  • the extraction of sand and gravel
  • importation of inert material and topsoil for restoration of the site
  • installation of concrete batching plant, placement of mineral washing plant and continued use of bagging plant

The Parish Council has serious concerns about the increase in traffic through Welford to this site which could be as many as 232 lorries a day, many of which are likely to route through the village.

Should residents wish to view the application and lodge concerns they can do so at:

http://leicestershire.planning-register.co.uk/Planning/Display?applicationNumber=2021%2FCM%2F0041%2FLCC

If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a link to comment on the proposal.

The Parish Council is raising objections especially in relation to traffic flow. The closing date for submissions is the 8th May although LCC is likely to accept them beyond then
