Welford Parish Council is responsible for the street lighting in the village. The Council funds the running costs including electricity, maintenance and repairs. The Council has now completed the upgrade of street lights to LED lights. This will have a benefit in savings to be made from running costs and maintenance.

The LED lamps costs much less to light which adds to our green footprint and there is an added benefit in that the lights are directional and downward facing reducing light pollution. The lamps we are investing in are guaranteed for 10 years meaning there is also a reduction in light replacement against the current stock.

If you notice that a street light is not working, you can use this form to let the Clerk know. Our lighting engineers can then be contacted to undertake a repair
